JibJab does Bud

JIBJAB, the same folks who did the hilarious Bush/Kerry spoof, seem to be doing advertising for Budweiser. Go to Budweiser.com (turn off the obnoxios talking host) and click on "Roll Out the Barrel."

Why is every single damn thing always my f***ing fault? I hate women. Hate them, hate them, hate them. I need to stay single forever.

Beer at 75 Degrees South

I encourage you as your Lutheran brother and fellow beer drinker...

...to visit the Beer Hunter's site.

Question for the Beer Connoisseurs...

...does a frosty mug affect the beer taste? True or not? I'm a skeptic in almost all things and seek to prove if it is right or wrong. My taste buds aren't the best to perform the experiment myself.

I've had military buddies tell me when they were in Germany (the Germans love Americans BTW despite what the media says) some of them would recieve hot beer. Yes, I said hot beer. One German put two beers in barbeque coal pit, then when they got hot (a minute?), tossed the beer to my military buddy and said, "Here, drink this!" He told me that was surprisely good. I wouldn't mind trying this.

I've also heard they don't refridgerate their beer at all but serve it room temp. True or not?

AB suprise

In my most recent tour of the AB brewery in St. Louis I had an opportunity to taste an AB product I didn't know existed - "Bare-Knuckle Stout". I was suprised! What a pleasant little beer. I understand it is available regionally, just where I would like to know.

So, anybody know of Bare-Knuckle Stout?

These were good.

From left to right: Victory Golden Monkey, a tasty Belgian-style tripel from Pennsylvania; Hoegaarden, you guys know this one; and a Cream of Wheat, my wife's tasty half-and-half of Hoegarden and Guinness.

Great stuff.

Me and My Growler

So, now that all of you know that I was in Alaska, there was time to tour a couple of the local brewpubs. This is a picture of me kissing a growler full of Bock from the Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage, AK.

I tried their Bock (excellent), their India Pale Ale from a cask-conditioned state (yummy and hoppy), their Oak Aged Imperial Stout (one of the best beers I have ever tasted) and their Oatmeal Stout (excellent with a hoppy flavor).

The picture is here.
